Banjo and Kazooie

here's another update on these two. I had pictures of Banjo's progress, but he just gave me such a hard time that I don't really feel like posting the progress. I had to remake his muzzle 5 time. 5!! D:

Anyways, here's what he looks like now:

And here's some pictures of Kazooie's progress.
Right now I'm slaving away at the wings.

I was hoping to have Kazooie done by this weekend but that's not going to happen at this rate. The wings are very time consuming. and once I make the wings I have to figure out how to make her legs. fun times!

Pokota done and Banjo fixed

Alright, so tonight like I promised to myself I finished the Pokota and I fixed Banjo! I'm hoping I'll be able to keep working this fast, but I already know that tomorrow I'll probably make little to no progress on Banjo because I have an animation assignment to finish after classes ):

Anyways, the pictures!

The completed Pokota. His 'ears' are wired down to every finger to make them as posable as they can be!

And here's poor Banjo's surgery. I did decide to go with chopping off his head and I'm not regretting doing so.

Head all sewn on, now all that's missing is the stuffing.

Tada! All stuffed and looking much better in my opinion. No crushed skull anymore. Still missing his nose (and ears) of course, but at least now I have room to sew it on!
Also since I fixed him, he gained 5 inches making him 25 inches. Which I think is pretty awesome lol.

So that's it for tonight. Hopefully I won't be animating until too late tomorrow and I'll be able to at least start Banjo's nose :)

New blog name and a little bit of updates

So, after thinking about it for a while, I finally decided to tentatively change my blog's name to Plushy Luv. Not sure if it's going to stay yet, but I'll at least give it a chance. I liked My Little Creations, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one using that title so I decided to switch to a new one. Also now the url for this blog is shorter and so much easier to type out o_o

Progress time!

I'm really going to force myself to take more progress shots and post them more often. After all, that's mostly why I have this blog right?

So this weekend I wasn't just working on Banjo. on Friday I worked on this little guy, Pokota from Slayers, most of the day. Some of you might remember him. I made one in September for another commissioner. He's almost done, but right now I have to wait for the fake fur I painted purple to dry. He's only missing his cape and I have to glue on the zipper and then he'll be done.

PS; the paint on the surface he is on is dry. no stain risks at all.

Oh, and I also finished another small commission of a anthro cat. I actually really enjoyed working on it. She's made of some sort of soft chenille and is very huggable because of that ;)

And that's it for today! Hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to finish Pokota and to at least start fixing Banjo's head. I'm still leaning toward the decapitation option xD

She plans, she thinks hard about it, she takes a chance...and she fails.

So today I finally sat down and worked on the Banjo and Kazooie commission. I started with Banjo , even though he was the one I wasn't sure how I was going to make, to make sure that Kazooie would be in scale to him.

I had great doubts about how it was going to turn out straight from the beginning

All's good so far. everything fits together, nothing is giving me a hard time. I started to have hope for this plushy.

All flipped right side out and still looking okay. Maybe this is going to turn out good after all!

Legs and feet= Success!

Arms and hands= still all good!
limbs= awesome. Could it be this pattern worked out exactly like I wanted it to?!

LOL no. unless Banjo hit his head against a tree trunk way too hard and squished his skull. A lot.

So obviously it's going to need some head fixing. The only problem is, the head isn't an individual piece. It's part of the body. So to fix the head I have 2 options; A- to just decapitate him and make a new head. Disadvantage; I was pretty proud that the head and the body were one piece, less seams. B- redo the body. Aka redo basically most of him. Disadvantage; redoing most of him D: I'm leaving him alone until tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be able to decide what would look/be the best. Right now I'm leaning towards decapitation lol

But hey, if I ever want to make a Starman plushy, I'm all set xD
