pile of plushies!

well, at the beginning of this week I finished my plush army! I have individual pictures of them but I don't have time to upload all of them right now.

So here they are. 50 plushies, 10 different kinds.

They will be sold this weekend at Animinitime in Moncton, NB Canada.if I have some leftovers I'll be selling them online.

a plush army in the making

I've been working hard on my army of plushies for Animinitime over the past 2 weeks. Currently I have 30 plushies made and I have 20 more planned. Now let's just hope I'll be able to make them all!

They still need their painted on eyebrows and mouths, but that should take me an afternoon to do at most.
they're taking over my bed oh no!

And about a week ago I finished the fan digimon commission Flurrymon. Here's what he ended up looking like!

So for the next 2 weeks I'm not going to be working on anything but my convention plushies. Commissions are going to resume normal pace (whatever that is now. about 2 weeks per plushy I guess? 1 if I get a few days off work?) once that's all done. That's all for today!

more updates!

Wow, 2 updates in a day?? Incredible!

So, to the point of this post. A cute fan-digimon called Flurrymon! He's almost done, only missing the painted stuff. I'll be painting him tomorrow if all goes according to plan.

So that's it for him for now!

Now I talked about my eyes and noses coming in this morning right? well obviously I had to finish at least one of my headless plushy to see how they looked!

Actually he's still unfinished; missing his eyebrows.

verdict about the eyes and noses? I LOVE THEM. They save me a loooooot of time, and they look reaaaaally nice. So it's a good trade right? I was worried about how well they would stay on; the eyes have a stem in the back that I place a washer on to keep the eyes on. Well, I think the entire plushy's gonna be gone before the eyes are! They have a terrifyingly strong hold.

I can't wait to get working on the rest of these plushies. Now that they're turning out exactly like I want them too, I can't stop wanting to work on them! I have 15 bodies so far and by Tuesday I want all of them to have heads. Then hopefully I'll be able to finish all the other 35 I want to make before the convention!

Kyubimon and con merch quick update

Just a quick little update.

so I've temporarily re-opened my commissions and my first one was a 10" Kyubimon. I was actually really sad to see that one go.

I've also been working on my original line of plushies everytime I could. So far I have 15 bodies and I'll finally be able to start giving them heads today since my eyes and noses came in this morning!

That's all for now! Now time to go back to commission!

Massive update

Massive

I like that word.
makes you feel important and fancy lol.

Anyways, business time!

Banjo and Kazooie:

they were done monday night
But I didn't have the motivation to post them on my blog till now
No progress pictures of Kazooie, because I was really tired by the time I got to working on her and forgot.

Anyways, here they are!

Since I finished these 2 and I haven't head back from any of my commissioners next in line yet, I'm taking advantage of this unexpected downtime to get a head start on my personal projects.

one of them is my own original plushy line, created mostly to sell at Animinitime this summer http://animinitime.org/ . I'm aiming to make fifty 7 inch plushies of different adorable animals. They will have embroided features and they will also have actual plastic eyes and noses that I just ordered yesterday from here http://glasseyesonline.com/ . They also have plastic pellets in their butts that will hopefully allow them to stand and not faceplant because of the weight of their huge heads. So last night to celebrate ordering the eyes I started working on making the plushie's bodies since I can't make the heads until the eyes come in. This is what I have so far:

Since those turned out absolutely awesome in my opinion, I decided to take a chance today and start the one plushy project I've been wanting to start since forever.....Toothless from How to Train your Dragon! Well, I probably shouldn't say Toothless, since mine is going to be more of a generic Night Fury. Anyways, He's going to be huge. like, 50 inch long, over 60 inch wide, and 15 inch standing huge. And if he does turn out good like I hope it does, I will be selling him. But I can already tell that he's gonna be going for over 100$, so interested people, be warned!

Here are pictures of what I have so far, I only have the pieces cut but I do plan on working on him all day tomorrow. He took an entire 3 meters of fabric, and I really had to squeeze the pieces together to make it.

So that's it for this heavy update! I can't wait to work on the Night Fury again tomorrow, and I'm really exited about the eyes that are coming in for my merchandise plushies. Now if my commissioners would reply to me and I could get started on their commissions everything would be just perfect.

I finished school last Friday, could anyone tell? lol
